At the first stage, OpenPass Phu Quoc consists of autonomous car-taxi service connecting Phu Quoc airport with city center and mini electric car sharing service in the city. Riders uses his OpenPass digital card (OpenPass app) to book and pay for autonomous car-taxi and car sharing from multiple taxi and car-sharing operators.

Autonomous car taxi service

Autonomous car-taxi service connects Phu Quoc airport with Phu Quoc city center with distance around 14 km. There is an exclusive road with two end stations used for autonomous cars. The taxi services are runt by different brand taxi operators.

  • Autonomous cars

    Autonomous cars from 4 to 7 seats are supplied by branding carmakers. They feature self-driving capabilities at SAE Level from 4 to 5.

  • Autonomous car stations

    They are managed and operated by robots, support any autonomous cars and complement other modes of sustainable transport as a hub for EVs, electric buses, scooters or other vehicles. There are two autonomous car stations, one is at Phu Quoc airport, the other is city center. The modular design enables to be easily dismantled and moved stations to alternative sites, as the autonomous mobility sector develops.

  • Exclusive road for autonomous car

    A two-lane-per-each-direction road is built and use exclusively for autonomous car-taxi service. The road is smart enough to engage in a “dialogue” with those vehicles.
